Island Generator Tool

This project is a tool for creating quick blockouts for islands in Unreal Engine.

It was created for my own long term fan project that aims to create a sequel from an alternate plot line of the game triollogy Jak and Daxter by Naughty Dog, primarily continuing from the ending of Jak II.

Core Features

The island generation tool comprises several key features working in harmony:

Drag and Drop Implementation

Quick and easy actor placement in the scene, allowing for immediate island design initialization.

Resolution Control

Adjustable parameters to control the mesh resolution and polygon count of the generated island, allowing for different levels of detail based on needs.

Height Parameter

Dynamic control over the island's vertical scale, enabling the creation of various island profiles from low-lying atolls to towering formations.

Dual Material System

Separate material assignments for:

  • Top surface material (for the island's upper terrain)

  • Side material (for cliff faces and vertical surfaces)

These features combine to provide a versatile and efficient tool for rapid island prototype creation.
